EMBRACE THE CHANGE
“Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 KJV
It is time to move on. In the Holy Scriptures the prophet Isaiah has instructed us, “Thus saith the Lord, Remember ye not the former things.” There must be a letting go, a release, of those things that are behind us. There are numerous examples in the scripture where we are reminded that old things have passed away. We are made new in him who has redeemed us. Most notably, 2 Corinthians 5:17(KJV) “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” We no longer have to live in the desolate valley of what was; We have been ordained to move into the abundant life of what shall be, the abundant promises of Christ Jesus.
Today I say no more of the former weeping and wailing. No more of the self-serving, “I am just going to wait until the Lord changes things” I am just waiting on my break through”. We shall declare “No more!” Jesus has secured our breakthrough on a cross at Calvary. We have been created to do greater works. We have been created as a witness. We are a light that shines in darkness. What are we telling a world that does not know our Lord and Savior, if every time the world looks at us we are still waiting on the victory, still waiting on the joy of the Lord, still waiting for something to change, still bowed beneath the weight of guilt and shame, still trying to be the sacrificial lamb? The sacrifice was made on Calvary and there is no longer a need for those of us dead to sin to continue to try to atone for something that has already been destroyed. Today we as saints God have received power and authority to walk in the newness of life. It has been determined that we are new creatures. God has done a new thing in us and NOW it shall spring forth! Shall we not know it? Shall we not recognize and honor that God, the most high God, the true and living God has made a way in the wilderness of this earth and rivers in the deserts of our lives. No more looking at the former defeats, former challenges, the past failures but walking in a new time of authority and victory over all things. Jesus has overcome the world and that is our inheritance. This is an inheritance of victory and of no limits. It is past time to move out of the valley of dry bones and into the mountains of victorious living. Claim the victory and recognize that we have come forth as new creatures in Christ!
Old things are passed away. Behold all things have become new.
