In this Holy Season

Music_Worship_and_Adore_Christmas_OfferingMatthew 2

King James Version (KJV)

2 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

It is written that when the wise men saw the star in the east, they stopped what they were doing and went to find the Savior.  They did not come asking for gift but to deliver gifts to the new born king.  So often we get so caught up in the things we think we need from Jesus, but what about what he wants from us, He has asked that we trust him, that we believe in him, that we love him.  Have you brought your gifts before the king?  Have you stopped just to worship him in his glory and majesty?  The scripture instructs us to Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise, a good place to begin to worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The greatest blessings I have received are the ones when kneel before him in the prayer of worship with the gift of praise, where I just praise him for being the God of my salvation.  When I have come to him in humble obedience and grateful praise, he knows the desires of my heart and answers just because he is a God of more than enough, just because he is a God of love and compassion.  Why not bring to him the gift of your love, the gift of your praise and watch as his hand moves upon your every need.   I think maybe we are in such a rush to ask for silver when he was prepared to send us silver and gold.    Let us in this season see the star of his love and follow it to the place of worship and praise.
