Looking for Peace?

There will be peace in the valley.  Peace blessed Peace.  This Bible speaks of Peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7 (KJV)7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through  Christ Jesus. This is a peace that we all search for but in this world of flesh and blood it sometimes seems elusive.  It is beyond our comprehension.  With wars and rumor of wars, pain and suffering all around us, murder and violence, crime all around us.  There seems no end to the ways man has devised to destroy what God created and said “it is Good”, This is not what he intended for his children that he loves and created in his beautiful garden but because sin entered in, the wonder of that amazing life was lost and destroyed, here is the sadness of it all, our spirit knows that is how it was meant to be and longs for the peace and serenity that was in God’s original plan.  But here is the good news!  There is one that has come and overcome the evil of this world and his promise is for peace everlasting.  We must learn how to tap into this peace; learn to claim it as our own. Isaiah 9:6  is the verse of hope, the very essence of God’s promise revealed in the flesh. It is the promise that makes this peace obtainable for us.  Our search has ended!  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  Look to HIM The Prince of Peace.  Jesus the Christ, the Son of the everlasting God, has made this possible.  Are you still looking?   Look to him.  John 14:27 (KJV) 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you.  It is yours.

Prayer:  Father I thank you that when all around me there seem to be nothing but turmoil, in you I have found peace.  Let your peace continually surround me no matter the situation for I know it is your promise that I claim and I rejoice in it.
