- God has given me an amazing gift! Well I guess that the amazing part is like with all gifts the ability to use that gift to his glory and for his purpose. The gift of unconditional love (love thy neighbor as thyself) (but the greatest of these is love) and acceptance as well as unwavering loyalty to those I love. This gift has sometimes has caused me great pain and sadness when I fail to use the gift of discernment to know that there are those that would use that gift for purposes other than that which it was intended. I belong to a gifted and strong ministry with Pastors that provide much wisdom. My Senior Pastor once presented a message entitled “Can you deal with Capacity”, it made me realize that there are those that you can share your gifts with, there are just as many that are not prepared to receive it. This gave me a whole new insight to the fact that we must always allow God to “direct your path” knowing that there are those that will take advantage of that unconditional love and loyalty to the point of causing much distress and pain. “THIS is not of God but of the flesh. The word of God instructs us to “Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23 New King James Version (NKJV) 23 It is important that we use the gift of discernment and protect and guard our hearts as we continue to work in the vineyard. Our hearts must be to change the world and not allow the world to change us.
